It was hard to differentiate the gray, cobbled together buildings. Indrani still got lost sometimes. They all leaned on each other and borrowed bits of wall and roof and looked like they might very well fall on someone, but apparently they hadn't yet. Though the very center of town did feature a puddle, a giant bombshell, and a strange man haranguing passers by. Since no one really responded, this was apparently normal.
"Guessing shelter was a way bigger priority right after the war," Indrani guessed. "If you really wanna know, there's a lady in town whose great-something grandparents did a lot of the building. But it works."
